Congratulations to the Middle School Girls and Boys Cross-Country teams for winning the 2023 Durham Middle School Conference Championships.Â
The girls won with 25 points, and the boys won with 54 points.Â
Baylis Healy, Anastasia Willis, and Keira Psichos achieved All-Conference status with their 3rd, 4th, and 5th place finishes with times of 14:00.01, 14:08.29, and 14:12.61 for the 2-mile distance.
Kara Ostrovsky and Sofia Radojkovic rounded out the scoring for the Lady Bulldogs with their 6th and 7th place finishes with times of 14:20.98 and 14:26.07.Â
Sydney O’Neill and Selah Weinhold represented the Lady Bulldogs with their 13th and 18th places finishes with times of 15:02.90 and 15:32.92.
Elijah Hanson continued his winning streak by becoming the individual conference champion with a new course record of 12:02.34 for the 2-mile distance. Wyatt Dean finished in 8th place with a time of 12:45.44.
Weston Hanson concluded his rookie season with a 12th place finish at a time of 12:58.08. Aiden Heflin finished in 14th place with a new personal best of 12:58.81.
Paxton Reilly, Adrian Gamboa, and Daniel Chakrobartty finished in a pack with their 20th, 21st, and 22nd finishes with times of 13:27.25, 13:27.82, and 13:28.56. Adrian Gamboa rounded out the tiebreaker scoring for Bulldogs to secure the team conference title.
