Athletic Programs
Durham Public Schools has some of the best student-athletes and athletic programs in the state! Our middle and high schools offer numerous opportunities for students to participate in a wide range of sports. Preliminary information is here, and we recommend you contact your school directly for more detailed information. A list of the school athletic directors can be found below.Â

If your child attends a magnet school that does not offer any athletic programs, your child may be eligible to play sports at his or her base school instead.

Durham’s high schools are members of different state conferences, based on their size. All sports are not offered at all high schools. Please check with your high school to find out if a certain sport is offered at that school.
